ARTWORK
GUIDELINES.

A few checks before uploading help your artwork print at the size and appearance you intend.

BEFORE YOU UPLOAD

Set the print size first

Prepare artwork at the dimensions you want on the garment. Raster artwork should have 300 DPI at that size.

Choose a real cutout

Use actual transparency wherever you do not want a background printed. White is a color, not transparency.

Keep the intended orientation

Do not mirror your artwork unless you deliberately want a reversed result.

Inspect the small details

Check for stray pixels, white halos and partially transparent edge remnants. Very thin strokes and tiny text can be difficult to reproduce reliably.

Prepare raster color in RGB

RGB is recommended for raster artwork. Review color on the garment; a screen preview is not a physical proof.

Plan the sheet

The full printable width is 29.00″. For a finished sheet, leave at least 0.20″ between separate designs as our recommended spacing.

CHOOSE YOUR WORKFLOW

INDIVIDUAL DESIGNS

Use Build A Gang Sheet. Upload each artwork, set its intended size and quantity, and let the builder place the transfers. Shape Based Nesting uses actual contours to help reduce unused film.

Image Spacing controls separation between transfers. Transfer Labels are optional printed labels. Gang Sheet Name is reference information only and is not printed.

BUILD A GANG SHEET

A SHEET YOU HAVE ALREADY ARRANGED

Use Upload Print Ready. Make the finished sheet at its intended final dimensions, no wider than 29.00″. Leave the recommended 0.20″ between independent designs. This spacing is between artwork, not a required roll-edge margin.

Include only what you want printed. Remove unwanted crop notes and instructions, check backgrounds, spelling and orientation, and export one finished sheet per file. Multi-page documents and animated images are not supported.

Reliable physical dimensions are read automatically. When size information is missing or ambiguous, enter the intended width when prompted; proportions stay locked.

FILES THAT WORK WITH imDTF

BUILD A GANG SHEET

PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, TIFF.

100 MB per file.

UPLOAD PRINT READY

PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, TIFF, BMP.

2 GB for PNG and TIFF; 100 MB for other supported formats per file.

PNG and TIFF
PNG is a strong choice for raster artwork that needs transparency. TIFF suits high-resolution raster sheets; export a single page and preserve transparency when needed.
JPG / JPEG
JPEG has no transparency. Any white or colored background in the image will print.
SVG, EPS and PDF
Temporarily unavailable. Export PNG or single-page TIFF at 300 DPI at the intended print size.
WebP and BMP
Still WebP can preserve transparency. BMP is available in Upload Print Ready and requires intended-width confirmation; do not rely on BMP to preserve a transparent background. Use PNG when transparency matters.
Design-source files
PSD, AI and CDR are not accepted. Export your artwork to a supported format before uploading.

File size is only one limit. Image dimensions also matter.

LOOK CLOSELY BEFORE PRINTING

BACKGROUND AND EDGES

A white background is not transparency. A visible background is part of your artwork and may print. imDTF does not automatically remove it.

Inspect your export on both light and dark backgrounds. Look for unwanted white halos, feathered edges, partially transparent remnants and stray pixels.

SIZE AND IMAGE DETAIL

Aim for 300 DPI at the intended print size. Enlarging a raster image lowers its effective DPI; changing the DPI number alone does not add image detail. Review the effective DPI shown by the builder.

Vector shapes can scale differently from raster images, but a vector document does not improve the resolution of photos or other raster content inside it.

COLOR ON THE GARMENT

imDTF uses 9 Color Extended Gamut with Fluorescent Inks. Screen previews are not physical print proofs, and monitors vary. Fluorescent and extended-gamut printing can appear different from standard screen RGB.

No exact Pantone match is promised. If color is critical to your project, contact us before ordering.
